My favorite part

A part that I really like in the Englishman’s boy was on page 220-221. “You beat me cold- twice, he said. I don’t know how you done it, but you done it. He’d found what he was searching for, one of the Englishman’s precious dollars. He held it up. Loser pays. Right?” ( Vanderhaeghe, 220 - 221) This was when the Englishman’s boy was with the Métis kids. They were playing a game where you had to guess which hand the bones were in. He lost the first time, then he lost again. The bone boy beat the Englishman’s boy stone cold twice. He pulled out his colt in anger, but shot it into the sky. He was not like the other men who would of killed the bone boy for making him look like a fool. Instead he payed him a silver dollar. All the other children swarmed the bone boy to admire the silver dollar. I really liked this part because it just shows how much respect the Englishman’s boy has compared to the other wolfers.
