Story of McAdoo and Wylie

The story of Shorty McAdoo and Wylie, I thought, was very interesting. McAdoo and Wylie were living in an abandoned farmhouse. McAdoo had promised to take Wylie to Canada for a better life. They were poor and had no money to get to Canada. When Harry came into their lives, he and McAdoo money for telling him the truth of what happened back then between the cowboys and Indians. McAdoo excepted and told the truth. They had the money and could of went straight to Canada to go and live a better life. But when McAdoo found out that a movie was being made about him and not a novel then he no longer wanted to go he wanted to stop this film. He went and talked to Chance but he did not listen. Wylie ended up in jail, can you guess what he did? McAdoo ended up in the hospital and escaped and was never seen again. “ Shorty McAdoo, unconscious, was taken by ambulance to the hospital. Six hours later, he slipped off the ward and disappeared. Shorty on the run, just as he had been as a boy”. ( Vanderhaeghe 324) They could have had better lives if they just went to Canada.
