Theme of Power

In 1923, Chance seems to have a lot of power over everyone. He is paying Harry fifty dollars each day for getting the story of Shorty McAdoo. This was a lot of money back in 1923 to be making. Chance wants to make a tremendous western film. Now back in 1873 Hardwick is the leader of the wolfers. He I shown to have a lot of power over everyone. Chance and Hardwick I think are very similar characters with all of there power. On the other hand Harry and the Englishman’s boy are very similar as well. They both do not have a lot of power and are kind of forced into their duties. The Englishman’s boy is not wanted in Fort Benton so goes with Hardwick. Harry has to look over his sick mother and needs good money to keep her in her well treated institute.
